Time, 2mih 21sec. Steeplechase. Matlock 1, The Lark 2, Galway Lad 3. Thirteen starters. Won by several lengths, a length separating second and third. Time 6min 43secs. While running in the first hurdles, Kanmantio fell, and the veteran jockey, H. Holmes, was killed.
