SYDNEY CUP MEETING. CUP WON Bl MOORILLA, (By Telegraph —Press Association.) (Received Last RAINDWIOK, April 17. The weather was showery for the Cup day, and the going somewhat heavy. Results:™ Flying Handicap.— Nuwarralliya 8.1, 1; Lager 8.12, 2; Alibi 7.2, 3. Sixteen starters. Won by three lengths, a head between second and third. Time, lmin. 17-Jsec. Gold Thread got badly away, and finished in the ruck.
Champagne Stakes.— Posadas 1, Wilari 2, Borrcsov 3. Seventeen starters. Won by two lengths, Wilari beating Borrosov by three lengths. Time, lmin. lSjsec.
SYDNEY CUP. A handicap sweepstake of 20 sovs. each, • with 4000 sovs. added. Owner of the second horse to receive 600 sovs., and the owner of the third horse 300 sovs. from the prize. Two miles. Moorilla, 7.1 (Hood) 1 By-p!ay, 8.6 (Wood) 2 Ere, 8.4 (Hood) 3 Non-starter.— Dorando. A good start was effecttd. Caliboy, Apple Pie and Eric were first to show out. At the straight Caliboy was leading Mindful, Miss Corelli, and Apple Pie, with The Lad last. Before reaching the mile, Adgio took charge from Herova, followed by Apple Pie, Flavinius, Eric, Call Boy and Blue Gem. Adgio led past the six furlongs, witli Apple Pie his nearest attendant. Then came Flavinius, Corelli, and Herova. Reaching the four furlongs, Moorilla and Blue Gem were together in the lead,, followed by Flavinius, Adgio, Mindful, Patronatus, and Crown Derby. Once in the. straight, Moorilla landed clear of Eric, who was well ahead of Flavinius, Bine Gem and Mindful. Going strong, Moorilla won by three lengths, five lengths between second and third. Then came Mil, Mindful, Cimvn Derby, Blue Gem, and Patronatus, with Caliboy last. Time, 3min. 26£ sec. First Steeplechase.— No Trouble 9.12, 1; Boisdale 11.4, 2; Confederate 11.7, 3. Four starters.' Won by thrte lengths. Time, omin. 40 sees. First Nursery Handicap.— Jacamar 7.2, 1; Psyttyx 7.2, 2; Cisco 8.7, 3. Nineteen starters. The winner, who was prominent throughout, came away at the distance and won easily by seven lengths. Time, lmin. 46J sees.
Local Handicap.— Squires 6.7, 1; Sentrouus 7.2, 2; Reg 6.1u, 3. Fifteen starters. A good finish. Won by a length and a half.
