COMMERCIAL.
MASTERTON SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale in the Solway yards (Masterton) yesterday.. There was Only a. fair yarding of sheep, which comprised woolly and shorn lambs and full->mouth ewes, very few wethers or young ewes coming forward. In our cattle entry we had about; 400 head, ranging in age from 2$ yearg to 4 years old. We are pleased to report that we had a good clearance of .all lines. We quote as follows: 2tooth ewes, 10s; 6-tooth to f.<m. ewes 4s, 4s 6d, ss, os sd, 6s 6d to 9s sd; shorn. lambs, from 2s 7d, 3s Id, 4s 6d to 5s 7d; woolly lambs, to 6s sd. Cattle.— Springing cows, to £5 12s 6d ; 2}yr steers, £3 12s 6d; 3yr steers, £5 2s 6d to £6 6s; 2£yr heifers (poor sox-ts) £1 17s; 2|yr heifers, empty and in fair condition, £3 12s 6d, £3 13s 6d; 1 filly, £lO.
