TO-DAY'S WEATHER.
NEW ZEALAND FQRECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast: — The westerly storm area has passed in the South with westerly and southerly gales in and southward' of Cook Strait during the night, but the winds have moderated to-dav. Ram has fallen in parts, especially on the West Coast. A high pressure has continued in the north, and heavy seas have been experienced on tho West Coast. Present indications are for variable winds generally, northerlies and westerlies increasing shortly southward of New Plymouth and Napier. Hazy and cloudy weather will probably prevail, showery in parts, especially on the Wast Coast and southern districts of tho South Island. The barometer will probably fall slowly in the north, and steadily in the south.
