TO-DAY'S WEATHER.
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast:— Anti-cyclonic conditions have prevailed in the North, but the barometer has fallen steadily in the southern districts during the past twenty-four hours. Southerly winds prevailed on Saturday and Sunday morning, but freshening northerlies in the south today. The weather has been generally fine, but unsettled, on the West Coast and in the southern districts of the South Island. , Present indications are for strong northerly winds, veering to westerly in the north, and a heavy westerly gale, veering to southerly, in the south of Cook Strait. Rain and stormy weather is probable generally. The barometer will probably fall everywhere, but rise smartly in the south after about eighteen hours.
