The French Minister for Foreign Affairs (M. Cruppi), epeaking _ in the Senate, said that if the situation at Fez becamo difficult, the French Government would take necessary measures within the provisions of the Algeciras Act to ensure the security of Europeans there.

Senor Garcia Prieto, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, stated in the Senate that Spain and France had offered each other mutual and efficient support in Morocco. Senor Canalejas. the Premier, in tlio Chamber of Deputies, said that France had intimated that the time had come to make preparations in anticipation of events in Morocco. The Spanish Government would take all requisite measuivs with regard to Spanish, possessions and wherever Spanish instructors were stationed.
