INTERESTING COURT CASES.
CHRJSTCHURCH, Last Night. For having failed to supply meals to a man who asked that twelve men should be supplied with food, Robert Berti, licensee of the Star Hotel, Addington, was fined 30s and costs, the Magistrate holding that when a traveller askedi fov meals not at ordinary meal time, he should he provided with a cold snack, and should not be turned away. A. case presenting gome shocking features was heard at the Juvenile Court yesterday, when a girl 14 years of age was :;Jtrrg<.'d with not being under proper control. She stated in answer . to the Magistrate, that she had improper relations with several boys, their ages ranging from 14 to 18. The girl Mas committed to Te Oranga Home, and an order was made against her father for 8s per week. Isabella. Lee was declared an habitual drunkard, and •committed to Pakatoa by the Maj;Htrat-; at the Police Court.
