Kou.ec .(Clerk to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs), and Pallier (Maimon's secretary), was arrested, ■ charged with the removal of important documents f.om the Foreign office and communicating their contents to a foreign Power,is a Mohammedan, naturalised in England, i The newspaper Matin understands that the documents are of capita! importance to France's safety, and that they were handed to mere than one Power. I Received This Morning, '12.&5 o'clock, j PARIS, April 9. J The newspapers state thiit the removed documents were used to make [ Russia believe that France was co-op-i crating with Britain against Russian I interests. I In is variously stateu that Sir Edward Grey was offered the documents, | and informed M. Pichoz. of the fact. ; It is also stated that u London newspeper received a similar, .offer, aud also warned M. Pichon. Maimon has had a picturesque career. Born in Syria, he served under Abdul Hamid for many ye<;?.*s as a spy. He obtained a concession of the Bagdad raih\ ay, and is suspected of the I Hsclosure of the tenor of tiie Russolu'iman Potsdam proposals. M. Rouet abstracted tho papers. ->t.a Pallier copied the documents and restored them to Rouet.
