LONDON WOOL SALES. The .New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cable- < gram from their London house: — 195,000 bales wool sold at sales; ' 72,000 bales for Continent. Sales closed strong; 3000 bales taken lor America; 37,000 bales held over. Market is steady, and quotations' are unchanged since our last cablegram. Average current London values for tlie under-noted descriptions of N.Z. greasy wool: — Good Merino, 13jd; medium merino, 12d; inferior merino, lOd; fine cixfs'sbred, 13d; medium crossbred, lid; coarse crossbred (40's) 9-Jd, coarse crossbred.. (36's) 9d.
FAHIATUA STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows: We offered a heavy yarding of sheep and a fair yarding of cattle to a moderate attendance. A good clearance was made in sheep at reduced' values, vendors having to reduce reserves considerably in most cases to meet the market. Quotations: — 2-tooth wethers 10s lOd; small 2-tooth ewes, 9s 3d; mixed aged ewes, fair sorts, 4s lid to 5s 7d; full mouth ewes, 2s lOd, 3s Od to 5s 2d; woolly lambs, 7s 6d to 8s 3d; shorn lambs, 5s Id to 7s ud; springing heifers, £6 to £G 17s 6d; forward cows, £3 14s to £4 12s 6d; .store cows, £1 12s to £2 13s; weaners, 18s 6d to 375; bulls, to £4.
MASTERTON STCCIC SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report at their weekly sale at Solway yards:— We submitted a good -entry of sheep, embracing all classes of good sound ewes. Forward ewes or forward wethers met a ready, sale, but aged and faulty ewes or weakly lambs were hard, to quit, although at the close of the day nothing remained unsold, rates all through being much on a par with those of recent markets. J'n cattle, a few pens- of stores were offered,, all selling at fair values.
