WAIRARAPA HOSPITALS.
THE YEAR'S ESTIMATES. The estimates for the ensuing year were considered in detail by the Wairarapa Hospital and Charitable Aid Board at its meeting yesterday. The amount of expenditure allocated for the Masterton Hospital was £2799. This sum included £1094 for salaries and wages, £620 for rations, £l6O for medicine, £245 for fuel and lighting, and £165 for furniture. The allofor the South Wairarapa is £1357 10s, which includes £686- 10s for salaries and wages, £260 for rations, £SO for medicine, £IOO for fuel and light, £7O for furniture, and £75 for grounds. The Pahiatua allocation is £I2BB, which includes £622 for salaries and wages, £2OO for rations, £4O for medicine., £BO for fuel and lighting, and £IOO for fire prevention. Supplementary allocations amounting to £1358 for the South Wairarapa new wing, £276 for working expenses, and £1854 for charitable aid were also made.
