HOCKEY.
' Tho following team will represent the St. Matthew's junior in a match to be played at Lansdowne to-morrow with the Post and Telegraph team : L. Boyd, E. J. Douglas, A. Wheeler, H. Bannister, R. Morris, F. Madsen. A. Styles, H. Billington, A. Cowper, J. Vesty, and E. Miller. A team to play the Excelsior junior B team will be selected on the Lansdowne ground from the following St. Matthew's members, all of whom are requested to attend : —F. Jones, Carruthers, C. Sykes, F. Ackerman, A. Hadlcy, L. Johnson, G. Forman. S. Harding, V. Jones, A. Vile, H. Terry, and B. Wimsett. I HUIA CLUB. The annual meeting of the Huia Hockey Club was held in St. Matthew's schoolroom, Masterton, last evening. Miss 0. Richards presided over a fair attendance of members. The balance sheet showed a credit balance of £3 Os sd. Votes of tlianks were accorded to Mrs W. H. Hosking, and Messrs C. Carley, and A. Pragnell for trophies, and Mr J. Macara and Rev. W. Raine for cash donations. Officers for the ensuing year were electeda s follow —President. Mrs H. Watson ; Vice-Presidents, Mrs W. H. Hosking, Messrs J. Macara, C. Carley, A. Pragnell, and Rev. Raine; Secretary and Treasurer, Miss I). Harper; Captain, Miss 0. Richards; vicecaptain, Miss F. Miller; general committee, Misses Bannister, Vile, Ball, and Richards; selection committee, captain, vice-captain, and Miss Ball. Several new members were elected. It was decided to open the season on the 27th inst. An opening social is to be held on May 4th, to take the form of a song evening. It was decided to place on record the valuablo services of the retiring secretary, Miss B. Johnson.
