THE RAILWAY TIME-TABLE.
FURTHER IMPROVEMENTS SUGGESTED.
While in Wellington at the end of last week, Mr R, B. Ross, M.P. for Pahiatua, waited on the Minister for Railways (Hon. J. A. Millar) to urge improvements in the train service on the Woodville-Masterton section of the Wairarapa line. Mr Ross urged that the special goods trains which now leave Woodville for Masterton at 10 a.m., and Masterton for Woodville at 4 p.m., be converted into scheduled time-table mixed trains, and be so timed as to leave Woodville after the arrival of the 9.50 a.m. DannevirkePalmerston train, and on, the return journey from Masterton reach , Woodville in time to connect with the 6.53 Woodville - Dannevirke train . and the 7.5 Woodville-Palmerston -train. The time suggested for these additional trains were ".—Leave Woodville 9.50 a.m., arrive Masterton 1 p;m.; leave Masterton 3.48 p.m., arrive Woodville 6.50 p.m.—Herald;
