CANADA AND THE STATES.
THE RECIPROCITY AGREEMENT. PROSPECTS OP THE BILL.' Received This Morning, 12.55 o'clock. NEW YORK, April 2. It is now stated that the extra session of Congress, at which it was j first believed that the reciprocity question alone would be considered, will deal with a multiplicity of other subjects. This is likely to jeopardise the I passage of the Reciprocity Bill. OTTAWA, April 2.
The Federal House is not expected : o prorogue until the end of May. It is reported that the Reciprocity Bill will be passed prior to the prorogation, despite the Opposition's campaign of obstruction. "
