Stoats are becoming a pest in this vicinity. Poultry keepers complain of losing both eggs and young birds. a quiet wedding was celebrated at the residence of the bridegroom's parents, when Mr P. Sorensen, of Pongaroa, was married to Miss I. Evickson, also of Pongaroa. An accident, fortunately without serious results,' happened to a trap containing, several persons who were returning from church last Sunday: The horse which they were driving fell, cutting its knees and head rather badly. f The occupants, of the trap escaped uninjured. The harvest festival was held in the church yesterday, both Danish and English services being largely attended.
