ST. MATTHEW'S CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING.

The annual general meeting of St. Matthew's Club was held last night, in St. Matthew's the President (Rev. H. "Watson) presiding over a large attendance of members. ;

Numerically, 'the' Club is hot so strong a,s in previous'years,- but a large number of active members have left the town during recent months. There is every prospect of new members taking their place. In connection with the Club there are two cricket and two hockey teams. Both th&se sections are appreciated) by the members, and the teams have I performed very creditably on the playing field. I The Rev. H. Watson, as Vicar of the Parish, is President of the Club, and takes a deep interest iii its' welfare* The following officials were elected for the coming season':— Hon. Secretary and Treasurer, Rev. W. Raine; Management Committee, Messrs F. Truscott, W. £urcell, C. Cole and N. Boyd. The opening night was fixed for Tuesday, April -25tji, when a.
