EXCELLENT PROSPECTS OF SUCCESS.

LONDON, March 29. Sir Ernest, Shackletpn ■, interviewed, states that Captain Scott's prospects .are excellent. It is likely that he will start much earlier than was intended, but whether he will reach the Pole before Amundsen is a moot question, but he hasia better chance owing to his superior equipment. : \: ■ .;> ' Dr. Mawson, interviewed, said he was quite sure Captain Scott can and will reach the Pole, before or after Amundsen.
