CUSTOMS FRAUDS.
HEAVY PENALTIES INFLICTED

SYDNEY,. March 29. The High Court has fixed the penalties payable by Turner, a motor car importer, for defrauding the customs, at £5120. As Turner failed to find security for the payment of the money or to find bail, the Court ordered his committal to gaol until the penalties were paid.
