"MORE SINNED AGAINST THAN [ SINNING." ! (Received March 29, 9 a.m.) | LONDON, March 23. I The partners in the firm of Bowrifi Bros., leather merchants, of Bermondsey, who recently failed for £368,920, are to be charged with conspiring to defraud Booth and Co., of Bermondsey. When arrested John Bowroa said.— "I have been more sinned against than sinning. I have given the Official Receiver all information." Accused were remanded for eigafc days; >• The Bowrons allowed tfaih of £IOOO, and' Knight £500.-, tßnl was forthcoming. In connection with the charge* heard at Tower Bridge Policy Court ■against John A. BoWroh, Sidney Bo v> j ron, and Thomas Knight (who has beer, twenty years in Bowron Bros.' j employ), the amount which accused are alleged to have conspired to obtain by j false pretences is £28,670. . |
