CARTERTON. Mr R. King, who has for a considerable period held a posit'.CP- with Mr Jas. BaiJlie, chemist, aai lately with Mr. Baillie's successor, Mr L. Aplin, has accepted a po-.ition with M- A. y. Sykes, che.-j:st, of Plymouth. Mr King, during h»s long residence here, has made many I friends, who. will w?sh him success in his new sphere of labour. Yesterday the secretary of the South Wairarapa Poultry Society received a message from Martinborougfr that!'.--a carrier pigeon had strayed there since Sunday, and had returned again on Monday. "'An india-rubber ring on one leg, bears the number 5898, and' an aluminium ring 222, 0.H.5., 1910. It is presumed thalTthe bird belongs to the Ohristchurch Homing.
