WAIRARAPA HUNT CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the Wairarapa Hunt Club was held in the Club Hotel, Masterton, on Saturday
night. ; llie' Master (Mr W. 'H. Buick) presided over.a fair attendance of members.
The Balance sheet, which' showed a surplii son the Steeplechase, account of, £34 14s'.' lOd, and on the. general account of £37 10s. 9d, was adopted, together with the' report. The assets of the Club cohsist: ot cash £l4l Qs 9d, with'no < liablities. The election of officers resulted as Master, Mr C. F. Vallarice; Deputy-Master, Mr R. Buick; Suh-Dejputy Master,. Mr W. Howard Booth for Carterton district, Mr W. Whale for Featherston, Mr R. I) N . •Morrison for" Blai'rlogie, Mr E. Collerton for Tinui, Mr E. G. Harris for Whakataki, Mr "J, Cotter for Greytown, Messrs W. Tilson and j. MeMaster for Martiriborough ; Huntsman,, Mr H. "W. Smith.
Mr Vallance proposed that .a hearty vote of thanks be accorded' the property, owners over whose estates the hunts were conducted, which was carried by "acclamation. ', The- secretary was instructed to write- to the .various Hunt Clubs, asking what : was intended to be done in regard to steeplechase meet, ings now that bookmakers cannot be licensed. ..''..
A sub-committee av.is appointed to draw up a list of "meets" for the coming season. " ' ,
