Congressman Champ Clark, the permanent Chairman of the United States Democratic Coi vention, has promised the Democrats a special session in which it is intended to pass the Reciprocity Agreement.

The King Edward Memorial to be erected at Marlborough Gate will consist of a bronze statue with allegorical figures, costing £30,000. A. further £20,000 will be spent in widening the avenue from Knight abridge to St. James' Park.

Professor David states that the Royal Society of London is giving financial assistance to the publishing of the book on Antarctica. Proofs will shortly reach Australia. The book will be copiously illustrated, and the literary contributors include Allan Thompson, of New Zealand.
