A STRANGE BEQUEST.
DUNEDIN, Last Night,
Bridget McCredie made a bequest to her grand-daughter, Mary Brown, of Mataura, but- tnere are three grand-daughters named Brown and none of them named or known as Mary. On an application' being made to the Court, it was ordered that the legacy must lapse owing to uncertainty, and enquiries will be made for the next-of-kin, who is believed! to be one Howard, who '4 wandering about in Australia. y
