MASTERTON HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.
MONTHLY MEETING;
■': The monthly meeting of the Masterton Hospital Committee was held yesterday, there being present: Messrs J. B. Keith (Chairman), W. Fisher, J. C. Ewington, and H. J. O'Leary. The treasurer's statement showed the receipts for the month to have been £SOO 3s, expenditure, £232 5s lOd, leaving a credit balance at date of £267 18s 2d.
Accounts amounting to £lO5 7s Id were passed for payment. . Certain correspondence re patients fees was dealt with, and the secretary was instructed with regard to the action to be taken.
The Hospital diary was placed on the table, and the matron's report in connection therewith showed patients in hospital at time of last meeting 28, admitted since 13, discharged, 23, in at date 18. :' ' ' ' " : ■
The visiting member, Mr O'Learly reported having visited the Hospital and authorised sundry small .works. The estimates for the ensuing twelve months were considered in detail," and a recommendation concerning the same will be placed before the Hospital Board at its meeting on the sth of next month.
A letter was received from Mr F. G. Moore, County Clerk, in reference to the, rough state of the approach to the Hospital from the Te Ore Ore Road, stating that the matter had been attended to be the ■secretary was instructed to write to Mr Moore thanking him for the very prompt action of the "County Council. Mr J. C. Ewington was appointed visiting member. ;
