RIOTS IN THE STREETS

LISBON, March 21

As a protest against the shooting of two strikers, a general strike has been ordered. The. bulk of the workers have refused to join. The newspapers are not being published. The rioters attacked -the tram);, but the Republican Guard charged them with drawn swords, and dispersed them. Many arrests were made, including all the - strike leaders. ■. The public am demonstrating m the' streets against the strikers.
