THE TOWN HALL.
lt is difficult to discover the object of Mr H. C. Robinson in suggesting that the Masterton Town Hall be •handed over: to tiie Borough Council. "If the Ball is a paying proposition, it is the duty of the Trust Lands Trustees to .retain it, and devote the profits accruing to works of 'education or pubh'c utility. If it is. not paying, the Trustees liaveho right to try and foist it upon the Borough Council, unless they are prepared to admit that the Council, being composed of business men, are imore likely to make it pay, than they are themselves. For the information of Mr. Robinson and others, it may be mentioned that, when the Hall was erected, it was regarded as an educational institution as well as one of public utility, and it was not anticipated that it would 'be rev-enue-producing.
