FIRE AT NIREAHA

A six-roomed house, owned and occupied by.Mr W. Cadwallader, was, together with .its contents; totally destroyed by fire on Friday afternoon. From particulars available,, it appears that Mr Cadwallader/was in the house by ; himself, lit a,fire in the range and ■lay down, to have a sleep. He was awakened: by a smell .of fire, and on rushing out found the whole building ablaze. Several neighbours came to his assistance, but it was found impossible to save anything. The furniture and piano, which was the property of Mrs Cadwallader, was insured for £IOO./ It is understood that the house was insured for £l5O.
