TIMARU, Last Night
Five men were-charged with having played two-up at the Pareroa freezing works last Sunday. A rush had been made by Detective Fahey and Constable McClatehy, and) there was a difficulty in identifying the men, as there was a party of a score or so, who bolted into rooms when the police cycled up. Three were dismissed, but two were convicted and fined £3 each, or fourteen days' imprisonment.
