THE ELINGAMITE WRECK.
WELLL\ T GTON, Last Night. Mr T. M. Wilford, M.P., representing the Merchant Service Guild, waited' upon tho Hon. J. A. Millar on Saturday morning in reference to of Captain Atwood, master of the Elingamite, which was wrecked off the Three Kings Islands, nine years ago. Mr "Wilford said he had evidence in his possession that if the islandn had Ven . correctly ■• charted the course steered by Cap-, tain Atwood would have cleared them by three miles. The Hon J; A., Millar said he would be veinpleased indeed to consult tho Crown Law Officers with a view to seeing what steps could be: taken to afford Captain Atwood an opportunity: of I clearing his name from the stigir.::..! cast upon him. He would give him, I every : opportunity possible to dear | himself. !
