The weather was fine for tiie Parramatta Hundred, and there was a rising tide. The results were as follow :—;
First Heat.— Ripley 83secs., 1; Tlieo owes 48secs., 2; Day 18secs.,
Second! Heat.— Norman Towns 44 sees., 1; W. West 78secs., 2; McLean 75sees., 3. Arnst pulled McLean very hard for third place. Third Heat.— Hagney lSsecs., 1; Simpson 70secs., 2; Paddon, 45secs., 8. Arnst, Messenger and other cracks competed in this event. Arnst; retired, despite many request , to finish the- course.
Fourth Heat.— Fogwcli 18secs., 1; F. Matterson, 40sees., 2; C. Matterson 7558C8.,, 3.
Arnst's defeat has robbed the final of a good deal of interest.
