EKETAHUNA SALE,

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile; Agency Company, Ltd.,.. '■ report;; 6n'. their. 'Eketahuna sale,, held: 1 yesterday:— We 'submitted a fair' entry of .sheep and, a' .small yarding of cattle. We quote:— Two-tooth, e!we,s, 13s; 2-tooth' wethers, ..12s;-' small, 9s; s.m. ewes, 8s to 8s 6d; culls, 2s 6d to 4s; lambs, 5s to 6s 6d; forward cows, £3 15s; store cows, £2 15s to £3; mother reared weaners, £1 17s.° Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their- usual weakly sale on Friday, the 17th March, 1911. Entries did not come in up to advertised numbers. Prices were a little above last sale, a line of good 2-tooth wethers realising 13s 2d. Cattle did not sell too well, but we sold our whole yarding except two small pens of store cows. We quote:— Two-tooth ewes, 10s 6d ,11s, 12s, 13s 2d; 2-tooth to 6-tooth ewes, 12s'to 12s sd; f.f.'m. ewes, 7s ~6d to 9s 6d; 2-tooth wethers, 9s lOd to 10s 3d; S. lambs,- 5s to 6s; woolly lambs, 9s 3d; Romhey rams, . 18s,. 20s, to 255; Southdown rams to £1; Leicester rams, £l.; store cows, fair condition, £3 15s; cows and calves to £4 ss: weaners to 355.
