Mr Arthur G. Wise, of the staff .of the Dominion newspaper, was a visitor to Masterton yesterday, ' Mr Thomas Collier, «a resident of Masterton for over 33; years, celebrated his 85th birthday last 'Monday. He is still hale and hearty and was out woolclassing last year. He has had about 70 years' practical experience .with wool. He started "work in a Witney (Oxfordshire) blanket factory 'at cen years of age, and worked there for four years, and then came out to New Zealand, in the ship Bodney. Mr Collier is the oldest wool-elasser and sorter south of the Line.
