In the cricket match between an Australian Eleven and the rest of Australia, for the Warne benefit fund, the latter compiled 346 in their first innings, Mayne 105. Smith 75, Minnett 59, Warne 29, and Noble 23 being the chief scorers. Whitty took five wick ets for 79 runs.

Sherwell, the South African captain, thinks that Australia will win the triangular match.
