BOWLING.

THE MASTERTON GREEN,

The Masterton bowling green was fairly well patronised during yesterday afternoon. Chief interest was centred 1 in the final for the Club's championship singles, which was won by C. Perry, whose score was 22, against W. Pragnell's score of 14. The winner in the first half of the game had a substantial lead, but the veteran bowler, W. Pragnell, reduced this considerably towards the end of the match. Jn the coinpetition for the ' "Pragnell Star," .W. M. Cole (26) defeated F. Staples (8). During the week the "teams matches" have advanced a further stage, and should prove interesting if Whittaker's team do not win their next match. ' The results of games played are:— Mutrie, W. H. Cole 1 , Carpenter, Whittaker (skip), 21, defeated! Reynolds, A. Pragnell, Inder, Cameron (skip) 18, butslost to Feist, Cave, Wilkes, Blinkhonie (skip) ; by 13 to 16. Beale, A. Ballings, Lawrence, Cresswell (skip), 16, defeated Chapman, Hunter, Staples, Townsend (skip) 14. Townqend's team (15) were also beaten by Evemdeii, Chamberlain, Bartlett, Dupre (skip) 17, Blinkhorne's team (10) defeated Robieson, Hendry, ?W. M. Cole, W Pragnell (skip) 14. '
