MASTERTON ELECTORS' ROLL.
SUBSTANTIAL INCREASE
The Masterton Ratepayers' Roll and Burgesses Roll, which, were signed on ■ Wednesday, both sliow very substantial increases over the figures for last year. On the ratepayers' roll last year 'there were 1644 names, and this year there is an increase of 140 names, bringing the total up to 1784. Only 988 names figured! on the 1910 burgesses' roll, but for 1911 the number is increased by more than half as much again, the total number of names now being 1563. All persons whose names are on either list have the power to vote at the election for Mayor, Councillors, and members of the Wellington Harbour Board, but ratepayers only are permitted to vote on loan questions.
