MASTERTON GOLF CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING.

The annual meeting of the Masterton Golf Club was held in the Technical School) 'buildings yesterday afternoon, there being a very good attendance of members. The chair was occupiedi by Mr A. R. Sclanders. The annual report and ibalanco sheet were adopted. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follow: Prsident, Mr H. G. Williams; Vice - Presidents, Messrs H. Holmes and) H. H. Beetham; gentlemen's captain,- Mr A. R. Sclanders; General Committee, Messrs A. B. Lawrence, C.Perry, G. G. Aitken, D. Caselberg, N. H. James, M. Foley, and J. Robieson; Hon. Secretary, Mr W. W. Gabites; Treasurer, Mr A. R. Sclanders; Ladies' Captain, Miss E. Robieson; 'Committee, Mrs N. Beetham, Mrs W. H. James, and Miss' J. Robieson; Ladies' Secretary, Mrs J. B. Henry; ladies' representative on the general committee, Mr A. R. Sclanders.

It was decided to open the season on the 25th inst.

It was announced by the secretary that the wife of the President had offered to provide tea on the opening day. Mr A. Henderson and Mr A.. R. .Sclanders signified their intention of donating trophies for competition during the coming season. The retiring secretary, Mr A. B. Lawrence, was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his services, and it was decided to place on record the Club's appreciation of his good work.
