, s.Tlie attendance--at the Bush Districts Sports, held at Hamua yesterday,, was quite up to expectations, and speaks well for the popularity of this gathering. The secretary (Mr Bourke) and 'an energetic committee left nothing to be. desired with the' arrangements, and a most successful gathering resulted. Considering the condition of the ground, tlie times recorded were very satistory. The takings at the gates amounted to £l2. The Pahiatua 'Brass Band, which .was to have ren-' dered the musical items, was unavoidably absent. In the evening a dance was held in the Hamua Public Hall, a large number being present.
