AMUSEMENTS.
THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES. A large audience attended the Forester's' Hall last evening, to witness the.final screening of the current programme. To-night there will be another good series screened, ] consisting of the latest productions by the world's standard makers. The dramatic section -s [ .•utbniaily strong. "The Telephone" is'•apathetic drama with incidents oi an- absorbing nature, while "Agrippiiia ' is a magnificent historical subject showing scenes full of ingenuity, beauty and thrilling situations. "A Torn Page" is a study that is sure to be a favourite. A set of delightful scenes shows the beauties of the Swiss Alps as seen in the ascent of Portjengal. Other interesting sconics are, "Dartmouth," "Fishing for Cormorants," and "Bob-sleighing." The humorous portion of the programme is not neglected, and liighly amusing films are shown in "Foolshead as Hygiene Inspector," "Grandpa's. Forty Winks," "Effecting a Cure," "A Thrilling -Story," and "A Tale of a Pair of Boots."
