CO-OPERATIVE LABOUR.
The Government recently called for tenders for the construction of a tunnel on the Lawrence-Beaumont railway line. The lowest tender was $34,028. As the estimate of the Government engineer was £22,000, the Minister has decided to carry out the work on. {the, co-operative system. The result will be watched with some interest.
