WELLINGTON, Last Night. , The Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast:— Moderate to strong 'southerly, winds Have prevailed with fair to. cloudy weather and showers in parts on'the East Coast. The; barometer has risen in the southern districts, but little movement is recorded in the north. Present indications are for moderate to strong easterly winds northward, of East Cape and Kawhia, and southerly winds elsewhere. Fair weather will probably prevail, though the, conditions are likely to be hot at times and somewhat unsettled on the East Coast of the North Island. Little movement of the,barometer is' anticipated immediately, but a fall is due after 24 hours.
