KNOX CHURCH LADIES' GUILD.
"AT HOME."
On Wednesday afternoon a most successful "At Home," under the auspices of the Knox Church Ladies' Social Guild, was held at the residence and grounds of Mrs H. T. Wood, Victoria Street. Upwards of 200 iadies and gentlemen were present, and a very pleasant time was spent. The day was propitious, and the garden and grounds were seen to advantage. Beyond the social aim of the function, there was the desire to secure funds for a set of Church crockery, with the name of the Church stamped upon it. For this purpose a sum of £8 4s 6d was realised. Several musical items were rendered, and a staff of willing workers served refreshments. The ladies are to lie congratulated .on their, function, and Mrs H. T. Wood', the hostess of the occasion, thanked for all her labour to make the gathering so successful.
