ADMIRAL HENDERSON'S REPORT.
FAREWELL LUNCHEON. (Received March 3, 5.5 a.m.) MELBOURNE, March 3. At a farewell luncheon to Admiral Sir R. Henderson, who has just concluded an inspection of and reported on Australian, ports as sites for naval bases, Senator Pearce, Federal Defence Minister, declared that Admiral Henderson had fulfilled, his mission thoroughly, riis report would bear ,out the highest traditions of the British naval service. Sir Reginald Henderson said that he had been greatly impressed with Australia's future outlook. The keynote of his report was that any action which attacked the sea power of the Empire was inimical to Australia and the ' whole Empire. He had gathered that this idea would be carried into effect.
