AMUSEMENTS

THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.

Another crowded, house greeted the current programme of pictures at the Foresters' Hall last evening. A particularly fine range of dramas was screened, the audience following with <Jeep interest the various exciting scenes in "Pals of the Range," "The Little Station Agent," (both Wild West dramas), and \"Home Melody." "The "star" film of the evening was the. picture showing the incidents in connection with the JUoundsditch sensation, in which a desperate' fight itook place between the London police and military, and two anarchists. The scenic views were splendid, the films showing the gorges of Tarn being a triumph in colour cinematography, and evoking continued applause from those present. Undoubtedly the best hit of comics shown in Masterton for some considerable iime are contained in the programme which will be repeated for the last time tonight. , On Monday evening Messrs Thompson and Payne will present some special attractions, amongst which will be the following:—"The Little Waifs" (a child study of a most paretic character); "A Kentucky Pioneer" (a sensational Wild West drama); "At the Mercy of the Tide," (a thrilling picture), "An old story with a new ending" (a pretty romance), and a beautiful i lot of coloured scenics.
