THE NEW TIME-TAB.
It is. satisfactory', to notefthat the Minister for .Railways is vjneeting the' settlers of the Wairarapa in some measure. The member for iVlasterton has been assured that there will be an early, train from '' Woodyille, that the afternoon- train' from Wellington will be put back, and that the Cross' Creek 'morning' train''will be abolished. No promise is made of ah early morning strain from Wellingftm, or of connection Hvith the Main Trunk railway when It, arrives at Palmerston from the north. And no mention is made of one of the most important trains of . all—the 6.30. a.m. train from Mas-" terton for the north. Unless this latter train is conceded, /the value of the concessions will be materially discounted. With the Cross' Creek connection done away with, there snould 'be absolutely no reason wihyjbhe old 6.30 train should hot be restored. •''■'.■ ' '• V-.;. . :.-:■■;■;.
