All protests must be lodged with the Secretary in writing .within ten miuntes after the event, accompanied with a fee of ss, to be forfeited if the protest be found ; frivolous. Three starters or no second prize. Any competitor leaving 'his mark before the' pistol is fired will be put back one yard for each offence.
