AN OPPOSITION MEASURE.
LORDS • -SACRIFICED TO HOME . RULE.

LONDON, February 26. Mr W. H. Long, who was Chief Secretary for Ireland in tlie Unionist Government, speaking alt) Bristol, urged relentless, opposition to the Parliament BiM, in order to secure an alternative scheme for ithe reconstruction of the House of Lords, which should be brought into closer conformity with -the needs of the It-ime. 'ahe Government, said Mr Long, proposed fo paralyse the House of Lords in order to arbitrarily carry florae Rule for Ireland.
