NUMEROUS DEATHS

ST. PETERSBURG, Feb. 26

Plague is raging at Shuan-clien-pu, 150 kilometres from Harbin. Fifty deaths occur daily. The Chinese refuse to co-operate with the Japanese in combating the plague at Mukden, where fifty persons are dying daily. Inspection of the houses is regarded as an infraction of China's sovereignty. There are a hundred deaths daily at Ivwang-cheng-tze.
