CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH.
SACRED CONCERT,
1 A sacred concert was held in the Congregational Church last, evening, in connection with the church's harvest thanksgiving. Special music im tlie form of appropriate anthems and carols was rendered b,v a considerably augmented choir, under the able baton of Mr Clough. During the evening Miss Hodge sang the solo, "Nearer My God to Thee," and Mr Clough the. solo/ "I Will Feed My Flock." Tn a short address, the pastor (the Rev. A. Hodge), thanked f the conductor, Mr Clough, on behalf of the church, for his labours in preparing the choir for the services, and he. also thanked members of the choir, and especially those members of the Methodist choir who had so willingly given their services in augmenting the efforts of the choir of his church. Mr Hodge also announced that the special hymns and anthems wilj be sung at the services in the church next Sunday. At the close of the conoert the thankofferings of fruit, -• flowers and vegetables were disposed s of among those present. '
