Sheep comprised mostly aged ewes and lambs, which were hard, to quit, and we only managed to dispose of about half the yarding at low values. Quotations: — 2-tooth wethers, 10s 6d; aged ewes, 5s 3d to 6s 3d; medium lambs, 4s 9d to 5s 6d; small lambs, 3s 6d to 3s lid; Lincoln rams (aged), £1 Is; 1\ and 3year steers, £4 19s 6d; springing heifers, £5 to £5 12s 6d. ■■'■.. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows:—On, the 24th instant we had a heavy.- yarding of sheep and a small yarding of cattle. Very little business was done under the hammer, but ultimately ■ we cleared practically the whole of the yarding at reduced values, with the exception of a few pens of poor-conditioned aged ewe's. EKETAHUNA STOCK SALE

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usuar weekly sale at Eketahuna on Friday, the -24 th inst. We offered an exceptionally, heavy yarding of both sheep and cattle to a fair •attendance. Sheep dragged at auction, and in most cases vendors had, to lower their reserves before wo could do business, but we made practically a total clearance before the ejid of the day. Cattle sold well at laro values. We quote; )Sheep: 2-tooth wethers, 9s, 9s 6d, 10s,-10s 4d to lis 7d; 2-tooth ewes, lis, lis 10d, 12s Id to 12s 6d; f.f.m. ewes, 7s, 7s 5d to 7s lOd; poorer sorts,'3s 6d to 6s 9d; store lambs, 3s, 3s 7d to SsSd; 7s, 7s 5d to 8s 3d.
