ALTERATION OF RULES

• LONDON, February 25.. The Advisory Committee of the County Cricket Association has adopted a proposal from Somerset to allow five points for a win in a completed match, and three points for the leaders in the first innings if the match is not completed. It has also adopted Surrey's proposal not to allow trial balls if both batsmen are at the wickets. The Committee postponed consideration of Yorkshire's proposal of limiting matches to two days.
