MONTHLY MEETING.
The ordinary meeting of the Wei- ■ lington Land Board was held on) Thursday. Those present were: The Commissioner (Mr J. Mackenzie), Messrs J. Dawson, H. T. Ellingham, J. Georgetti, and W. M'Lennan. .TRANSFERS. Transfers granted were: Sections 8 ;«Wid 9, Block XI, Makuri, E. F. Jennings to J. Champion; Section 10, Pongaroa V.S., H. C. Clark to J. ,W. : Carter. : OTHER MATTERS. It was resolved that the reservation for forest purpose of Section 133, Block; in, Mangahao, haying been removed, to approve of this land being offered for cash by public auction as land of special value owing to its superior quality. The upse't price is £2O per acre. A report was received from the Crown Lands Ranger to the effect that Mr H. E. Hill, lesee of section 31, Block IX, Mount Cerberus, Pongaroa V.S., resides on the adjoining section with his mother and brother-in-law, I and it was resolved to accept this as satisfactory in the meantime.
